The LBBD is little, black and bohemian

I love the "what would you take to a deserted island" concept. It never gets old. In  journalism, or blogging or interviewing - it's a tested and trusted technique. One day I'll make a dream come true and start interviewing regular people like you would celebrities - "what's your morning routine"? "What would you take to a deserted island?". I'll ask myself, too - I always wanted to be interviewed like a celebrity. And the answer will be: a bicycle.

Forever21 dress // Hagar Satat necklase
In Tel Aviv, an old black cruiser was my vehicle of choice - I took it everywhere, in heat or rain, and always while wearing a dress, because frankly - why not? Dresses and bikes, if you cut the squeamishness about hygiene, are meant to be together. Case in point - this rented cruiser on a ride around Venice Beach and the only dress I want to wear this summer, an embroidered Forever21 low-waisted number.

Addicted to comfort, I find this away-from-the-body cut totally irresistible, and it does make flip-flops look fancier, if that's something you're after (I always am!). Just like riding a bike in a dress, wearing black through summer is something my fellow Israelis largely reject. Black attracts sun, they say. Well, not if you ride fast!
